MANAGER Gary Whild insists Kidderminster Harriers won’t be underestimating rivals Telford United at Aggborough tomorrow (3pm).

Kidderminster have slipped to ninth in the Vanarama Conference Premier and Telford are bottom of the table with just one win from 13 matches.

The Reds recorded an impressive 3-2 victory at Woking last weekend but then slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Wrexham on Tuesday night.

Whild said: “Wrexham and Woking are both good sides and I thought we played well in all those games. We’ve got a very tough game coming up against a side who are at the wrong end of the table.”

Telford lost 2-1 at home to Chester on Tuesday — crashing to defeat after going ahead for the 10th time in 13 games. Telford’s sole win this term was a 4-3 victory over Torquay United.

Telford boss Liam Watson has stepped up his efforts to bring in a new defender after loanee Josh O’Keefe returned to Harriers. Former Hereford United midfielder O’Keefe headed back to Harriers to discuss whether he will be offered to Telford for a loan extension.

The 25-year-old then made five consecutive appearances for Telford before missing their last two matches with a thigh strain.

But that deal has expired and Watson is, as yet, undecided whether the move will be extended.

He said: “I think it’s a possibility. It’s just a case of seeing where we are up to. I will have to make a decision on that this week as we go along.

“We are playing at Kidderminster next, so obviously that can’t happen for Josh.

“His loan hasn’t been extended yet because he doesn’t know where he’s up to with his club.”

Harriers assistant manager Mark Creighton believes the Aggborough outfit must find the goals to match their performances.

“In the second-half, Wrexham rarely troubled us and didn’t really get into our half,” he said.

“I honestly thought that if any team was going to nick it, it would be us.

“The players were gutted and the job Gary and I have now is to pick their chins up because there was nothing in that performance that we can really have a pop at them about.

“I don’t think we could have done much more than we did.

“All we can do now is take three points off Telford and get back on track.”
