HEREFORD United supporters are planning to travel to Kidderminster Harriers’ Aggbrough ground to bring the club’s plight to a national TV audience.

Hundreds of Bulls supporters are expected to make the short journey to Kidderminster for the Vanarama Conference Premier clash with Welling United next Wednesday.

The game is being shown live on BT Sport.

Martin Watson, vice-chairman of Hereford United Supporters Trust (HUST), said: “We are trying to bring the club’s plight to the attention of the national press.”

HUST are endorsing the protest which seeks to highlight that some former members of the Edgar Street staff remain without pay and tax documentation from their time at the club.

Watson said: “The FA appear unwilling to act and the Southern League do not seem to care.

“We have to start pushing the issue — the situation is intolerable.”

Watson’s fellow HUST committee member Paul Stevens was also optimistic about the numbers who might attend the peaceful protest against United’s regime.

Stevens said: “From the numbers we are getting, there could be anything from 200 to 500 people.

“There has has been a lot of interest since HUST said that they were endorsing the protest.

“The Kidderminster Harriers Supporters Trust are very much on our side and the club’s board have also been no problem.”

HUST have a good opportunity to rally some more support tomorrow when the latest fans’ team game takes place at Pegasus Juniors (2pm).

The Hereford United fans’ team, which will include former United players Steve Guinan, Cory Williams, Tyler Weir, Scott Goodwin and Matt Gardiner, will take on a Walsall Legends team.

Meanwhile, Hereford United travel to face Bideford Town today (3pm) in the Southern League Premier Division and football chairman Andy Lonsdale believes the club’s promised new investment is close to hand.
