EVESHAM United made an early FA Carlsberg Trophy exit with a 1-0 defeat at Banbury United.
Abeyinka Talabi’s 87th-minute goal decided the first qualifying round replay at the Spencer Stadium.
The Puritans face Marine at the next stage on Saturday, November 15.
Evesham went close in the first-half when Banbury’s Tom Fishwick sliced a clearance onto his own post and George Washbourne placed the rebound wide.
Ashley Edenborough went close with several efforts as United enjoyed most of the possession.
After the break, Marcus Jackson, causing problems with his pace down the right, set up Edenborough, who pulled his shot wide when well placed.
Jackson also fired a couple of efforts just wide and Edenborough had an effort disallowed for offside.
At the other end, Robins keeper Kevin Sawyer produced a flying save from Aidan Hawkin.
But, with the game heading for extra-time, Talabi beat Sawyer with a well-placed header from a right-wing cross to send the hosts through.
Evesham: Sawyer, Wilson, Binns (Stanley 52), Wood, Sysum, Harding, M Jackson, Brown, Edenborough, Slack (Williams 78), Washbourne (Kennedy 65). Subs not used; Drake, Watts.
Attendance: 123.
