GOLFER Ollie Farr has fulfilled a boyhood dream after securing a spot on the European Tour.

The Worcester Golf and Country Club ace says he has reached the ‘Premier League’ of the sport.

Farr booked his place at golf’s top table after finishing 10th and bagging €101,476 in his maiden Challenge Tour season.

Farr will be getting his European Tour campaign underway in South Africa next month.

“It’s something I am really looking forward to,” said Farr, who grew up near Tenbury Wells.

“I have been watching each tournament on television since I was a young lad.

“I will be getting to play at all the major tournaments and major venues and playing for a bit more money. This is something I have been dreaming about all my life.

“I have always compared my golf with football — I used to be in the equivalent of Division One and now I am up in the Premier League.

“The hard work starts now because my main aim is to keep my card for 2016 and get my game ready to compete with the step up.”

Farr, who lives in Hereford and is coached by his dad Graham, has had a glorious season.

He kicked-started his campaign by winning a tournament in Turkey in May.

Farr sealed his European Tour card with third place in the Challenge Tour Grand Final in Dubai.

“I was in 13th place going into the last event and it was probably the most nervous week in my golf career,” he said.

He shot two rounds of three-under-par along with rounds of one under and one over to finish six under par.

“I expected to be on the Challenge Tour for three years so this happened a bit earlier than I had expected but I am delighted with it," Farr added.

“I cannot wait for it to start.

“I have had some really good results with two third places and two fourth places, so four top-five finishes in the season."
