EVESHAM United will be without their two main strikers for tomorrow’s Southern League Division One South and West trip to Tiverton Town (3pm).

Ashley Edenborough and Lance Smith are both set for a spell on the sidelines due to suspension and injury.

Edenborough is banned for the next three matches after being sent off in the 2-2 FA Trophy draw against Banbury United two weeks ago, while Smith faces up to four weeks out with a broken little finger sustained in last Saturday’s 0-0 draw with Larkhall Athletic.

Manager Paul Collicutt has recalled Marcus Palmer from his loan spell at Westfields, where he was recovering from injury, to fill the void and will also turn to on-loan Cheltenham youngster Harry Williams.

The Robins boss said: “This time last year, if I had lost a number of players through injury we would have struggled, but we will still go there in a confident mood that we can get a result.”

Evesham are without a win in their last six matches in all competitions and saw Tuesday’s match at Cinderford Town called off because of a waterlogged pitch.

There are also doubts over tomorrow’s match following heavy rainfall in Devon this week, with Collicutt rating it going ahead at Ladysmead as 50-50.

Despite the absence of Edenborough and Smith, United will be able to call on the services of Will Wellon after the centre-half recovered from a groin injury.

Tiverton, managed by Martyn Rogers, have won their last two league matches, beating Sholing 2-1 and thrashing Bishops Cleeve 4-0.
