EVESHAM United made light work of a struggling Bashley side to make it two Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West games without defeat.

Adam Mann and Nick Stanley both scored twice in a one-sided 5-0 success.

The convincing victory was built on a dominant first-half performance that saw the Robins hold a commanding 3-0 lead at the break.

Three goals in nine minutes played a big part in ending the game as a contest.

Midfielder Stanley got the first on 19 minutes when he connected with Kevin Slack’s corner to send a rasping drive into the roof of the net past James Lambourne.

He was on the scoresheet again after 26 minutes with a sublime 15-yard finish that gave the ‘keeper no chance.

A third United goal was not long in coming when Mann cut in and powered home an unstoppable shot to leave Bashley a mountain to climb at 3-0 down at the break.

A second-half onslaught never materialised, although Paul Collicutt’s side did notch two more goals.

Mann got his third goal in three games since his loan move from Gloucester with a strike into the top corner.

Nine minutes from time, substitute Lance Smith was put clean through and easily beat the advancing Lambourne to complete the scoring.
