DEFENDER Kevin Nicholson says Kidderminster Harriers cannot allow their defeat to Macclesfield affect their focus for tonight’s trip to Aldershot (7.45pm).

Harriers were beaten 2-0 at home by the Silkmen on Saturday, a result which saw them lose ground on their Conference play-off rivals.

Although Gary Whild’s side are only one point shy of the top five in eighth, they have played more games than fifth-placed Eastleigh and Grimsby in fourth.

But left-back Nicholson insists they are still very much in the hunt and has called on his team-mates to stay positive ahead of the visit to Aldershot.

He said: “Without wanting to be too cliché, it’s only the next game that matters, and all that matters now is Aldershot.”

Elsewhere, Evesham United travel to Wantage Town tonight (7.45) aiming to stretch their unbeaten run in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West to 12 matches.

The Robins had keeper Kevin Sawyer sent off in Saturday’s 4-3 win at Swindon Supermarine but his ban doesn’t start until January 31.
