GARY Whild is preparing to put one over former sidekick Steve Burr tomorrow when Kidderminster Harriers visit Chester (3pm).
The current Kidderminster manager worked as assistant to Burr at Aggborough for four years until the latter was dismissed in January 2014 and replaced by Andy Thorn.
Whild then took over from Thorn last March and this season has kept Kidderminster in the Conference play-off mix despite the departure of key players.
The previous meeting between the sides ended 2-2 at Aggborough back in August but a win tomorrow would help cement Harriers’ position in the top five.
They are also aiming for a fourth successive away league win following victories at Aldershot, Dartford and Forest Green.
“I’m still good friends with Steve and had some great times here but we’ll be doing our best, as I’m sure he will be, to win the game,” Whild said.
