Worcester boxer Michael Mooney edged out in Liverpool fight
WORCESTER boxer Michael Mooney lost his latest fight on points to Thomas Stalker at Liverpool's Echo Arena.
The 29-year-old was edged out 60-55 in the lightweight bout, which was in the undercard to Zolani Tete's victory over Paul Butler in their IBF world super-flyweight title fight.
It is now two defeats in a row for Tolladine-based Mooney following his knockout defeat against Ben Wager in an English title eliminator in November.
