ACADEMY starlet Dan Sweeney and trialist George Cator bagged second-half goals as a youthful Kidderminster Harriers XI recorded a comfortable 2-0 win at Bedworth United.

Harriers manager Gary Whild fielded a young squad packed with products of the club’s youth system and other hopefuls at the Evo-Stik Southern League Premier Division outfit.

In goal was former Northampton Town and Brackley Town keeper Dean Snedker, 20, while ex-Shortwood United and Farnborough forward Duncan Culley, 26, played up front.

Reece Hales, starting in midfield, and winger Sweeney came close in the first period but two goals in as many minutes after the break sealed the win.

Former Stoke City academy midfielder Cator set up Sweeney, who then repaid his team-mate by teeing up the second.

Centre-backs Tyrone Williams and Luke Maxwell produced a solid display for Harriers but they did not feature Amadou Alassane, the former French top-flight forward who has returned to the game on trial six years after retiring with a heart defect.
