EVESHAM United kick off their home pre-season friendlies next Tuesday with the visit of full-time neighbours Cheltenham Town.

The clash of the Robins at the Jubilee Stadium is at 7.45pm but first United open their programme with a trip down to south Hampshire on Saturday where Gosport Borough await at 3pm.

Evesham have been boosted by four more players re-signing in midfielders Nick Stanley, Sean Wood, Carl Brown and George Washbourne.

With 15 players committed so far, Elliot Kennedy has joined fellow midfielder Ollie Knowles in moving on after linking up with league rivals Bishop’s Cleeve.

United have arranged the trip to Gosport as Growers United are using the Jubilee Stadium on Saturday to entertain Liverpool Legends (3.30pm).

Gosport will provide a major test after finishing sixth in Conference South last season and FA Trophy runners-up in 2014, while Cheltenham are aiming to bounce back after relegation back to non-league’s top flight.

Evesham then host Stratford Town, who have been promoted to the Southern Premier Division, next Thursday (7.45pm).

The home friendly on August 1 has been postponed as visitors Petersfield Town have the chance of playing a local derby.

Meanwhile, Evesham have been drawn at Chasetown in the preliminary rounds of both the Emirates FA Cup and FA Trophy.

The trip to the Northern Premier League Division One South outfit in the cup will be on August 29 with the trophy tie on October 3 for the right to host local rivals Redditch United.

United’s under 18s visit Kidderminster Harriers in the FA Youth Cup preliminary round on the week commencing September 7.

Pershore Town play Wulfrunians in the FA Vase first qualifying round on September 5. Littleton head to Gornal Athletic.

The winners of the Pershore tie head to Bewdley Town or Bilston Town, while the Littleton victors visit Westfields or Atherstone Town.
