EVESHAM United will be gunning for revenge when they travel to Chasetown tomorrow in the FA Trophy preliminary round (3pm).

The Robins have already tasted defeat this term to Chasetown, who recorded a 2-0 victory in an FA Cup showdown in August.

Evesham are seventh in the Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West after Tuesday’s 3-2 reverse at neighbours Shortwood United.

Sean Wood and Lance Smith scored for Evesham on the night but the defeat ended their six-match unbeaten run.

It was also the Robins’ first away league defeat of the season.

Meanwhile, Stourport Swifts will be hoping for a solid defensive display against lower-graded Black Country Rangers at Walshes Meadow in the FA Vase second qualifying round (3pm).

Stourport paid for a slow first-half start in midweek and suffered a 3-2 defeat against Brocton in the Midland League Premier Division.

The defeat by Brocton was disappointing because Swifts had already beaten them in this season’s FA Cup.

Rangers play in the West Midlands League Premier Division but Swifts manager Mark Phillips is under no illusions about the size of the task.

“Black Country are underdogs and will be up for this game,” he said.

“They are a tough physical side and that is always going to be difficult for a young side to cope with.

“It will be a tough learning curve and we will have to be on our mettle.”

Hereford have won their last seven games in all competitions and travel to league rivals Bardon Hill in their FA Vase tie (3pm).

Bulls manager Pete Beadle is trying to put out his strongest side but on-loan Cheltenham Town midfielder Adam Page is unlikely to be available.

Beadle said: “It’s a competition that has a huge carrot at the end of it. To walk out at Wembley is any manager or player’s dream.”

Elsewhere in the FA Vase, Bromyard Town travel to Hinckley Town, Malvern Town visit Ellesmere Rangers and Westfields host Littleton (all 3pm).
