KIDDERMINSTER Harriers have signed former Motherwell player Zaine Francis-Angol on a short-term contract.

The 22-year-old London-born left-sided player progressed through the youth system of Tottenham Hotspur.

He made more than 70 domestic and European appearances for Motherwell before leaving in the summer.

Comfortable on the left of midfield or at left-back, Francis-Angol has agreed a contract with the club that initially runs until January.

Francis-Angol, who is also an Antigua and Barbuda International, said: “Things didn’t go well for me at Motherwell last season, with injury and a new manager coming in, so I’m really looking to get back into the game and Kidderminster looks a good place to do that.

“From what I have seen in training this is a good set-up and everything is high-tempo. Te standard is good and doesn’t really reflect the league position.”

International clearance has been received for the player and is available for tomorrow’s home clash with Welling United at Aggborough (3pm).
