THREE players scored a hat- trick of tries as Worcester powered to an 87-0 win at bottom-of-the-table Aylesford Bulls in the Women’s Premiership.

A cross-field kick to Aylesford’s full-back was chased down and stolen by Rachel Lund, who offloaded for Zoe Bennion to open Worcester’s account.

Ceri Large missed the conversion but then Rochelle Clark took the ball from Aylesford’s restart.

It allowed Lund to add another try, which was converted by Large, who then crossed the whitewash herself and added the extras.

The tries flowed as both Bennion and Large completed their braces inside 16 minutes.

The two combined well in the centre, while Rhiannon Donnahey shone at the breakdown.

After 15 minutes of Aylesford pressure, Worcester pushed on and Sam Parker scored before Lund completed her brace thanks to a line-out won by Lyndsay O’Donnell and a strong Benny Williams run.

With Worcester 39-0 up at half-time, they swiftly scored in the second period when Lisa Campbell picked up from the scrum and offloaded for Kelly Smith to bag an unconverted try.

A fine move involving Aimee Lenssen, Bianca Blackburn, Campbell, Lark Davies, Courtney Gill, Rhiannon Watkins and Lund was finished off by Large for her hat-trick.

Davies then crossed, with Blackburn converting, followed by Lund and Bennion sealing their hat-tricks as Large added two points with the boot.

Lydia Thompson capitalised on the tiring Aylesford side to cross the line twice.

Sam Bree narrowly missed out on scoring as she was tackled in the corner.

The scoring was rounded off by a fourth try from Bennion, which was converted by Large.

Most of the tries were scored by the backs but the significant work-rate and strong carries from the pack did not go unnoticed, along with the impact from the bench.

Helena Bunce, Harriet Dunn and Sophie Williams all made their mark on the game but one negative for the team was too many missed conversions.

Worcester host sixth-placed Wasps at Weston’s Fields on Sunday as they look to move into a top-four play-off position from fifth spot.
