A COACH is putting on football sessions for youngsters in Worcester on Thursdays.

Star Coaching, run by Toby Ireland, welcome children aged between five and nine from 6.45pm until 7.45pm at The Tolly Centre, Rowan Avenue.

The sessions cater for young people looking to get involved in the sport or to try it out for the first time, while parents can also join in.

Ireland, 30, said: “From fun games to learning new football tricks, there is something of everything for the young football fanatic.

“Youngsters should be able to enjoy their first few steps into the game without the pressures of win-at-all-cost-minded adults standing on the sidelines and the players should be allowed to make mistakes while learning.

“I work as a football coach at Bayton Primary School and Clifton-upon-Teme and have eight years of experience playing with Bristol City academy.”
