HARRIERS may well be an outside bet to win at in-form Grimsby Town but in recent years Blundell Park has been a happy hunting ground for Kidderminster.

The Reds are massive outsiders according to bookmakers to bag all three points at the high-flying Mariners.

They certainly face a big challenge against a team who have won their last four games and have lost just once in the last 17 matches.

In contrast, the Reds are second from bottom with just two wins all season but a fine performance against Aldershot two weeks ago has raised hopes they can escape their predicament.

Kiddy boast a fine record at Grimsby’s Cleethorpes home, winning four of their last five matches there.

Matthew Barnes-Homer is set to return to the fray after missing the Aldershot clash.

Head coach Dave Hockaday is also keen to stress that effort his re-shaped squad is putting in.

With Jake Green and Calvin Dinsley released and the emergency loan window closed, Harriers will have to wait to make any more radical alterations to the squad Hockaday said:“We’re limited in numbers, but we have got the necessary people for our position and situation at the moment.

“It’s been difficult to let some good lads go, but we have done it for the right reasons and there are many reasons in some cases.

“We’ve got a good group now that are gelling together well and the messages are getting across now, of what we want them to do.

“We might not be blessed with the quality of some of the teams but I am happy with the honesty of the group and that’s all I can ask for.”

Grimsby have bolstered numbers by bringing in Crawley midfielder Conor Henderson and James Alabi from Ipswich Town.

Former Solihull Moors hitman Omar Bogle could give Grimsby a boost as he is nearing a return from a six week injury lay-off.
