PERSHORE High School triumphed in a show jumping competition at the town’s Allens Hill Equestrian Centre.

Jess Thomas, Grace Plowman, Hannah Cartwright and Katie Caldicott formed the school’s successful one metre class team at the National Schools Equestrian Association show jumping event.

They rode superbly and their hard work paid off with them topping the team event Cartwright was also placed third individually which was an impressive achievement at such a big height class.

Gemma Williams rode in the 70cm class and then went on to join forces as a team with Erin Hobbs and Lorna Beard for the 80 cm but they were sadly not placed.

The 90 cm Windsor qualifier was well fought for with only one team earning the right to go.

The team of Grace Plowman, Hannah Cartwright and Katie Caldicott did really well with Plowman finishing in third place individually and Cartwright four. However, this was not enough to put them in first place.

The other Pershore team of Jess Thomas, Erin Hobbs and Lauren Carpenter were outside the top finishes as well.

This was the first competition which Allen Hill had run and they forwarded a very supportive letter to the school. It said how well the girls had conducted themselves and how much of a credit they were to Pershore High.
