WORCESTER Colts finished top of Ambassador Evesham League Under 12s Group C by remaining unbeaten.

The team put in outstanding performances and conceded only 16 goals as the defence was led by Will Ballard alongside Henry Covins, Harvey Cross, Morgan Jones and keeper Olly Jones.

Colts scored 85 goals with 25 from striker Charlie Mogg, 15 from winger Cameron Smith, 12 from midfielder Ben Lilly and eight from winger Finn Monkhouse.

Newcomers Luke Sloane and Evan Coppen added six more goals in the final games of the season.

Captain Luke Ford-Thomson, Kyan Adam and Isaac Shepherd battled tirelessly in midfield.

The team have been together for four years and finished runners-up in their Mercian Fortis Junior League division in 2014-15.

Coach Steve Ford-Thomson, aided by deputy Paul Chester, said: “All the years of hard work and commitment from the lads have really paid off.

“We have recently grown the squad in preparation for the 2016-17 season in which we will be going to 11-a-side, so we look forward to trying to do it all again next year.”
