WORCESTER Valkyries prop Laura Keates is poised to secure her 50th England cap when they travel to Salt Lake City next month.

Bianca Blackburn, Rochelle Clark, Lark Davies, Courtney Gill, Ceri Large and Lydia Thompson have also been named for the three-game tour.

England will open up against Canada on Friday, July 1 before facing France on Tuesday, July 5 and hosts USA on Saturday, July 9.

As well as Keates, Large has the chance to reach the half century mark as she sits on 47 caps, while Rochelle Clark is set to extend her record of 110 appearances.

Rising Worcester stars Davies and Gill have featured just once for England and lead coach Scott Bemand said this tour provided his 26-player squad with a chance to test themselves against the best in the world.

“This tour is an important opportunity for these girls to come together and play some of the top sides in the world,” he said.

“For those who haven’t been through the World Cup environment previously, they will experience everything there is around the tight turnaround of games and an away tour.”

The sides will train at the University of Utah ahead of match days, with all games to be played on the championship field at the Regional Athletic Complex.
