WORCESTERSHIRE’S Moeen Ali picked up three wickets as England wrapped up a crushing 330-run victory in the second Test against Pakistan at Old Trafford.

Moeen finished with 3-88 from 18.4 overs after removing opener Mohammad Hafeez (42), Younus Khan (28) and Yasir Shah (10).

Pakistan were shot out by England for 234 in their second innings with more than a day remaining to level the series, 1-1.

England, who had a 391-run cushion after bowling out Pakistan for 198 in the first innings, didn’t enforce the follow-on and declared at 173-1 in their second knock.

Pakistan are next in action when they take on Worcestershire at New Road in a two-day tour match, starting on Friday (11am).

It was also a good day for Moeen’s County team-mate Brett D’Oliveira.

D’Oliveira took 1-37 from 8.3 overs in England Lions’ 140-run battering of Sri Lanka A at Canterbury.

England piled up an astonishing 425-1 in the 50-overs-a-side match with Ben Duckett cracking an unbeaten 220 and Daniel Bell-Drummond carrying his bat for 171.

D’Oliveira took a catch and then claimed the final Sri Lankan wicket to fall at 285.
