HARRIERS made it two wins from two away from home this season as they eased to a 2-0 win at Nuneaton.

Having been forced to withdraw him early in the previous encounter against Chorley, Harriers were made to do without experienced defender Jared Hodgkiss for this trip; boss John Eustace opted to draft in Tyrone Williams to the right-back berth, while James Hancocks filled the void on the bench.

The visitors pressed Nuneaton from the get-go and got off to the perfect start with a goal inside six minutes; James McQuilkin rocketing the ball in off the far post with an angle drive as he followed up on a blocked Tyrell Waite shot.

Mani Dieseruvwe and McQuilkin once more had chances to extend that lead further inside the first 20 minutes while a hopeful effort from Nuneaton's David Morgan at least kept Sam Hornby interested up at the other end.

Still Harriers pushed - before the half hour mark a foul ruled out Jordan Tunnicliffe's strike as he found the net and only the efforts of Burton ensured McQuilkin didn't notch again with another low finish.

That second seemed a little academic and, with just over five minutes to go until the interval, it arrived with a glancing touch from Dieseruvwe as he scored from a Gnahoua corner delivery that nobody in blue reacted to.

In truth Nuneaton fared no better in shackling Harriers into the second half and in two efforts from Waite and a firm drive from Arthur Gnahoua they were lucky not to be heading out of sight but more heroics from Burton ensured the latter was kept at bay.

McQuilkin's drive with 67 minutes gone capped another beautiful team move only for the end product to sail just wide, Hornby kept busy as he produced a fine save to deny James Clifton's strong shot on the angle after a driving run.
