NINE Worcestershire Cricket Pathway members helped Barnt Green make history by winning the ECB Under 15 National Club Championships.

The county side triumphed by 107 runs over St Cross Symondians in the final of the T20 competition at Rugby School.

This followed a 52-run success over Hallam in the semis as they became the first team from Worcestershire to win the prestigious trophy.

Sam Johnstone, Jake Johnstone, Peter Hawk, Nicholas Jakobsen, Hayden Froggatt, Ben Humphries, Daniel Meredith, Fergus Roll and George Homer all represent the under 15s or 14s for the County.

In the final, Green elected to bat and amassed 219-2 off their 20 overs.

Harry Thompson (52 retired), Hawk (50 retired), James Moody (44) and Jacques Benton (43) were the main contributors.

Froggatt (2-26), Jake Johnstone (2-20), Meredith (2-16), Sam Johnstone (1-30), Benton (1-9) and Roll (1-5) shared the wickets as St Cross were bowled out for 112 in 19.1 overs.

In the semi, Green were put in and made 121-9 with Homer (44) their main contributor.

Hallam were restricted to 69-9 with Sam Johnstone (2-13), Jake Johnstone (2-11), Meredith (2-7), Froggatt (1-11) and Benton (1-16) the wicket-takers.
