GREAT Britain’s wheelchair basketball players gave Worcester youngsters a boost by joining in with their netball youth camp.

The third year of coaching was run by Worcester Netball Club and Netfirst coaches at the University of Worcester Arena.

After asking the players on the court next door for a photograph, the camp were invited for an hour to spend time with Team GB members before they headed to Rio for the Paralympics.

The aces allowed the young girls to try out the wheelchairs and then had a game of basketball with them.

A club spokesman declared: “Team GB were inspiring to be with and Worcester Netball wish them all the very best at the Games.”

The camp involved fun sessions learning about the sport, leadership and attack and defence workshops.

Organisers split the groups up with seven to 10 year olds meeting on Tuesdays and Wednesdays and those aged 11 to 14 on Thursdays and Fridays.
