WORCESTERSHIRE Virtue Empire Dodgeball Club had two teams in the Midland Trampoline Tournament in Cannock.

Out of six sides, Bewdley Virtue won silver and Droitwich Dodgers narrowly missed out on bronze.

“Our club had only two hours to train for the tournament,” said team captain Brian Williams.

“We played Midland League teams with much more trampoline experience so to come away with second and fourth place is a huge achievement for us.”

The club handed player of the year awards to adult Alan Wyman and junior Joseph Beard for the most player of the month accolades in 2016.

The outstanding Wyman won player of the month four times after putting in extra hours of training. Beard worked hard to improve his throwing and catching with three monthly accolades.

Virtue Empire train six times a week across Worcester, Droitwich, Kidderminster and Bewdley.
