WORCESTER golf enthusiasts are challenged to enter an annual search to find the long drive champion.
American Golf, based in Lowesmoor Place, are running the free competition from Friday offering players six computer-measured shots each to hit their longest drive.
There will be three sections for over 45s, under 45s and females with the leading two in each going on to a regional and then national final at Heythrop Park Resort, Oxfordshire, on August 4.
They will then have the chance to jet off to Oklahoma, USA, to compete for $270,000 at the World Long Drive Championships.
The Worcester stage runs until Monday. Last year Lucas Dornan, a city trader from Essex, posted 365 yards to be crowned champion.
