WORCESTER Reds secured a vital 41-39 win over Academy in their battle to survive in England Netball Mizuno Premier League One.
A determined Reds side were well supported and the University of Worcester crowd roared the team to victory in their penultimate home game of the season.
An end-to-end clash saw neither side fully establish a lead with top-half Middlesex outfit Academy edging the scoreline at half-time.
But Reds could bring fresh legs and enthusiasm onto the court from the bench and took the lead in the closing minutes before holding on to go up to seventh, one place off the play-offs.
They visit Guildford on Sunday, March 5, to play The Downs who are two points ahead in the table (noon).
