WORCESTER Rugby Club's under 15s girls have reached the RFU National Cup final.

They play rivals Winscombe from Somerset on Sunday, April 30, at Cheltenham Tigers (1pm) and aim for revenge after losing both encounters this season.

The national semis were in Bury with the best north teams in a triangular tournament.

Nottinghamshire's Newark arrived as national champions for the last two years and beat Tynedale 22-7.

But then Worcester beat Newark 29-10 with four tries from Charlie Manns who scored all the points with three conversions and a penalty.

Despite losing 14-0 to Tynedale from Northumberland in the final game Worcester won the competition on points difference.

They have thriving girls' under 13s and 15s sections and hold introductory sessions for potential newcomers.

On Sunday Worcester host their annual boys' rugby festival with hundreds of players aged seven and eight from all over the country.
