HEREFORD FC finally got their hands on the Southern League Division One South and West shield.

The Bulls were crowned champions on March 25 but it wasn't until this weekend they were presented with the shield.

Hereford earlier beat Winchester City 4-0 and have the chance to secure another treble.

They host Royston Town in the Champions of Trophy game on Saturday before facing Hereford Lads Club in the Herefordshire FA County Challenge Cup final again at Edgar Street on Monday, May 1.

John Mills (penalty), Jamie Edge, Jimmy Oates and Bradley Williams scored against Winchester.

Hereford manager Pete Beadle said: "To go 41 games and only have one defeat is no mean feat but I'm sure we disappointed a few people at home with our last few games.

"But the boys produced and the performance was excellent from front to back.

"It was a long six days since we won it and in between those six games there's been some iffy performances.

"It's hard to criticise too much because when you've won it and wrapped it up it's tough.

"But to win it with 107 points and over 100 goals again is remarkable."
