Petty takes over from Davidson as North Midlands coach
ALEX Davidson has stepped down as coach of the North Midlands senior side for personal reasons.
He succeeded Dan Protherough last season and was due to take the region into the County Championship against Hampshire at Dudley Kingswinford on May 6.
But Davidson’s father Paul recently passed away with cancer and he has also been made redundant from his job as Luctonians' director of rugby.
He will hand over responsibility to assistant coach Rod Petty.
