GARYN Preen has left Evesham United to sign for Hereford FC next season.

The 25-year-old former Burton Albion winger played 21 games and made one substitute appearance, scoring three goals in 2016-17.

But the Robins have secured the future of their captain Linden Dovey for next season after he turned down an offer from elsewhere.

Evesham will entertain National League North side Tamworth in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday, July 11 (7.45pm).

They also host their new tenants Gloucester City at the Jubilee Stadium on Saturday, July 8 (3pm).

United are set to be joined in Evo-Stik Southern League Division One South and West next season by AFC Totton, Barnstaple, Bideford, Bishops Cleeve, Bristol Manor Farm, Cinderford, Cirencester, Didcot, Kidlington, Larkhall, Mangotsfield, North Leigh, Paulton Rovers, Salisbury, Shortwood, Slimbridge, Swindon Supermarine, Taunton, Wimborne, Winchester City and Yate.

Meanwhile, National League South new boys Gloucester have already arranged home friendlies with Newport County on Saturday, July 22 (3pm), Derby County on Saturday, July 29 (3pm), and Hereford FC on Monday, July 31 (7.45pm).

Liam Harding won all three awards at Evesham's first team presentation evening.

The defender claimed the manager's player of the year, players' player of the year and supporters' player of the year.

The awards were presented by former Wales international and Liverpool and Aston Villa player Dean Saunders.

Ex-Evesham United junior Matt Smith, now playing up front for QPR in the Championship, presented awards at United's under 16s and under 18s presentation evening.

Matt Brookes and Sam Clark were under 16s players' player of the year and manager's player of the year respectively.

Brad Stalley was the under 18s Junior Premier League side's players' player of the year with Will Middleton taking the manager's vote.

For the under 18s Midland Floodlit Youth League team Dan Tustin was players' player and Ewen Dunbar manager's player.

The Robins youth team won the Evesham Hospital Saturday Minor Cup final 3-1 against Inkberrow with goals from Ethan Moran (2) and Stalley.
