WORCESTER'S bowlers returned home from Malvern's Manor Park with a nine-shot success as each side gained three winning triples.
Scoring three threes by the fifth end Worcester gained an advantage of 15. Although the hosts picked up a six and three fives the visitors still held a lead throughout after replying with two fives.
Taking the honours for Worcester were the trio led by Alan Towle who after taking an early lead out-bowled their opponents to win by 14.
After picking up two threes Ian Hunt’s triple gained a seven-shot victory. Taking a comfortable 10-shot lead after seven ends Mike Bullock’s trio then fell away over the final six but still hung on to win by two.
Winning triples for Manor Park came from P McMahon (7), N Kenward (5) and A Colwill (2).
