HIMBLETON got back to winning ways with ease as they dispatched fellow high-fliers Netherton by eight wickets for their most comfortable victory of the season.

The villagers bowled out their hosts in Worcestershire League Division Three for only 124 with Sam Jenkins (3-23) the pick of the bowlers with three early wickets.

George Clifton (3-19) repaid his selection as he too picked up three wickets with Rob Perrins and Matt Handford’s efforts rewarding them with 2-42 and 2-31 respectively.

In reply Himbleton lost two early wickets with Ricky Pretty (1) and Rich Sugden (7) both falling with the score on 23.

But Ali Pretty (39 not out) and Sean Jenkins (57no) put on a stand of 91 to graft out a desired win.

Second-placed Himbleton increased the gap to Bartestree and Lugwardine in third to 46 points.

Himbleton entertain Rushwick on Saturday (1pm).
