JEZ Pile continued his dominance of Velo Club Sevale’s club championships by winning the 25-mile time trial.

Thirteen riders competed for the title on a revised course due to roadworks.

The Hanley Swan route ended up measuring just under 25 miles, and even with near perfect conditions the distance still provided a tough challenge for all involved.

Pile’s winning time was an impressive 56 minutes 28 seconds which pushed Graham Browning into second place by 16 seconds. In third place was William Davies continuing his strong mid-season form with a time of 57.27. Stuart Day rode strongly for fourth place, stopping the clock at 58.05.

Pile’s victory completed the double after his success in the previous week’s 10-mile event on the Severn Stoke course.
