BOSS Paul Collicutt called on Evesham United’s supporters to act as a 12th man during tomorrow’s derby with his former club Bishop’s Cleeve (7.45).

The Robins ended a seven-match winless run with a 5-3 success at Slimbridge on Saturday, a match which saw a bumper travelling cohort put wind in the away side’s sails.

And with just 12 miles to travel and bragging rights up for grabs, Collicutt wants to see plenty in red and white for the Southern League West clash at Kayte Lane.

“There’s a little bit of history between the clubs now and I know Bishop’s Cleeve will raise their game against us because of the connections,” said Collicutt.

“They will make life very difficult for us and having taken 100 or more people to Slimbridge on Saturday, I am hoping we can get good numbers to this game as well.

“The lads responded well with five goals. It was pleasing to come back from the early goal but disappointing to let in three.

“As much as I was chuffed to get three points and our first win in a while, there is a long way to go and we need to be doing a lot more of that if we want to stay in contention.

“Cleeve have made a few signings and been much improved of late, beating Shortwood and going within a few seconds of getting something at Winchester.

“We only have to look at our own performances against teams from the lower end, particularly at home.

“We seem to play with a bit more freedom on the road so we would love to see a bumper crowd there because it makes a difference. It was good to see and nice to hear.”

Carl Brown aggravated an existing injury against Slimbridge and is a doubt but Bradley Gray, injured on Saturday, could come back into contention.

Hereford head to Potters Bar Town for an FA Trophy second qualifying round replay with the winners travelling to Oxford City of the National South.

Swifts host Studley in the Worcester Royal Infirmary Cup tonight, while Pershore Town bid to arrest their slump when they journey to Paget Rangers in Midland One (both 7.45).
