A FRUSTRATING encounter saw Worcester Valkyries defeated 51-5 by Wasps in the Tyrrells Premier 15s at Sixways.
Valkyries could not stop Wasps from stretching their winning run to four games.
Winger Amy Atkinson scored four of the visitors’ nine tries with Kate Hallett, ex-Valkyrie Rochelle Clark, Rachel Parry and Abigail Dow (2) also on the scoresheet.
But Valkyries pushed into the Wasps half numerous times with one visit leading to a try from Nat English in the first half after she finished off the forwards' work.
Louise Dodd converted one try as Wasps led 27-5 at the break and Nuala Deans added the extras once in the second period.
Valkyries winger Nikita Frere collided with an opposition player and was stretchered off.
In the second half, Worcester drove forward through breaks from fly-half Zoe Bennion and won penalties to advance further upfield but they could not add to their tally.
Valkyries’ next fixture is at Firwood Waterloo on Saturday, December 2 (5.30pm).
