THE University of Worcester's wheelchair basketball team have qualified for the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) Championship finals next month.

Despite two losses to Sheffield Hallam, Worcester beat University of Nottingham 49-44 as well as winning 55-44 after overtime and defeating Nottingham Trent 48-45.

The team, coached by Harry Smith and Tommy Garwood and captained by third year Eve Roberts, have trained hard through the season, pushing players to the limit.

Top scorers Frankie Jones, Rob Whale and Ryan Smith have always been a threat to the opposition.

The finals are on March 10 at the National Basketball Performance Centre, Manchester.
