THE Vale ladies heralded in the new season by hosting an open competition and fashion show.
Sixty-eight players from nine clubs played a nine-hole greensomes competition which was won by Helen Clements and Pam Collins form Cotswold Hills.
The raffle in aid of the lady captain's charity Worcestershire Breast Unit Haven raised £271.
The Vale seniors held their first board competition of the year in three divisions.
Scoring was high considering the fairways were still recovering from constant rain.
The Division One winner was Gerry Clayton with 33 points followed by Brian Brumhead who edged out Mike Roberts on countback with both on 31.
Division Two's victor on countback was Mike Heard from Patrick Staines with both on 35 and third was John Nutman on 33.
The Division Three winner and recipient of the Bill Kelly Cup for 2018 was Adrian Duggan with 36.
Jeff Peace edged out Peter Morris on countback with both on 32.
