MATT Andrews headed in Worcester Raiders' first-half equaliser as they salvaged a 1-1 draw at home to West Midlands League Division One promotion-chasers Newport Town.

Raiders visit Wyrley on Saturday (3pm) with six league games still to play this season.

The eighth-placed Claines Lane side have little room for error if they are to get back into the chasing pack.

In midweek matches, Aidan Thomas scored a hat-trick and Alex Hainault one as Westfields won 4-2 at Midland League Premier Division basement boys Rocester.

Keeper Toby Wilcox saved a penalty as Pershore Town battled to a 0-0 draw at Division One high-fliers Heather St Johns.

They visit Coventry Alvis on Thursday while Littleton go to Bolehall Swifts (both 7.45pm).

Fifth-placed Droitwich Spa beat Coton Green 3-1 in Division Two while Inkberrow lost 2-1 at Central Ajax in Division Three with Nathan Davies scoring.

On Thursday there is plenty of Premier Division action with leaders Bromsgrove Sporting at Rocester, Stourport Swifts visiting AFC Wulfrunians and Westfields hosting Coventry Sphinx (all 7.45pm).
