KIDDERMINSTER Harriers and Evesham United boosted play-off challenges in their respective leagues.

Harriers beat fellow former Football League club Stockport County 3-1 at Aggborough to get one over on their top-seven rivals.

United returned to the Southern League Division One West leading six with a comprehensive 3-0 win at Kidlington.

Meanwhile, Hereford FC can boost their Southern League Premier Division title charge with victory in Thursday's rearranged match at Hitchin Town (7.45pm).

The Bulls lead the table by six points with one game in hand over second-placed King's Lynn Town.

Goals from Joe Ironside, James McQuilkin and Dan Bradley gave Kidderminster the National League North points in front of 1,722 fans.

Forward Ironside curled in the home side’s first from the edge of the box on just four minutes.

But County hit back quickly through Jimmy Ball during a frantic opening spell.

Then midfielder McQuilkin scored his first goal since November on 20 minutes with a fine finish before Ryan Croasdale hit the post in the second period.

In-form Bradley saw John Eustace’s men back up Saturday’s 2-1 success at Blyth Spartans with a third goal on the hour mark from 20 yards after running from his own half.

Fourth-placed Harriers extended their lead over County in the table to four points.

They entertain struggling Midlands rivals Tamworth on Saturday (3pm).

Evesham moved up to sixth on the edge of the play-offs thanks to their win but the competition is tight.

The Robins are only two points off Wimborne Town in third but Cirencester Town are only three behind in eighth.

Adam Mann fired Paul Collicutt's side ahead on 37 minutes at Oxfordshire club Kidlington.

Garyn Preen made it two four minutes after half-time and youngster Ewen Dunbar completed the scoring in the 76th minute.

Evesham host local rivals Bishops Cleeve on Saturday (3pm).

Redditch United's Premier Division trip to St Ives Town was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
