WORCESTER Reds retained their England Netball Mizuno Premier League One status with one game still to go.
They secured a vital 59-54 win at fellow battlers Team Bath Toucans just below them before going down 58-53 to the same team at home in a rearranged clash.
But second-from-bottom Premier Romans' defeat to mid-table Academy secured Reds' position for another year ahead of a final trip to basement side Oaksway this weekend.
The University of Worcester-based side led 16-10 in the home clash before being hauled in to make it 28-28 at half-time.
An end-to-end third quarter saw Bath go 41-40 up and Reds suffered a blow with the loss of goal keeper Becky Sweet to a ruptured Achilles.
The visitors extended the lead to 47-41 and eventually won by five.
