EVESHAM United continue the quest for their first win of 2010 when they host local rivals Halesowen Town at St George’s Lane tonight (7.45).

The Robins have lost their last four Zamaretto League Premier Division matches with the latest being a 1-0 home defeat to Didcot Town on Saturday.

Midfielder Michael Hayden’s second-half penalty miss proved costly as the Oxfordshire visitors grabbed the winner eight minutes from time.

Paul West’s side are now without a win since December 15 — a 3-2 victory over Banbury United — and have started to slip down the table.

They are just five points above the relegation places but, equally, still in touch with the teams immediately above them.

Halesowen have drawn their last four league matches, including a 2-2 tie at Hednesford Town on Saturday, and will be looking to step up their push for the play-offs.

Meanwhile, Malvern Town travel to second-placed Coalville Town in the Midland Alliance tonight, while Westfields head to Shifnal Town (both 7.45).
