LEDBURY’S Terry Jenkins reached the quarter-finals of the Gibraltar Players Darts Championship.
The Herefordshire thrower eventually lost 6-3 to Scottish star Gary Anderson, who reached the final be fore going down 6-5 to Denis Ovens.
Jenkins defeated Stefan Federico 6-0, Christian Robba 6-0, Vincent van der Voort 6-2 and Adrian Lewis 6-5 during an impressive run that earned £1,000.
Meanwhile, Droitwich’s Dave Honey picked up £200 after losing 6-3 to former Evesham player Ronnie Baxter 6-3 following a 6-2 win over Matthew Wenham in the first round.
Jenkins had his revenge over van der Voort as he lost 6-3 to the Dutchman in the third round of the StanJames.com Eddie Cox Memorial Trophy the previous day.
The world number four had beaten Ian MacFarlane 6-2 and Chris Thompson 6-1 to earn £300.
Honey lost 6-3 to former Worcestershire player Tony Randell in the preliminary round.
