KING’S School Worcester girls head to the national schools championships on Saturday at Roedean School, Brighton.
There are 43 schools vying for honours at the competition hosted by England Netball.
King’s won the West Midlands round in the under 14s category and were runners-up in the under 19s section.
Among their biggest rivals will be King Edward VI School from Staffordshire at the older age group and Warwickshire’s Higham Lane School in the younger contest.
Last year’s under 14s winners Bromsgrove School are looking to make a big impact again, this time at under 16s level.
England Netball coaches will be eyeing potential players to recruit for their Excel Development Programme.
The organisation’s president Janet Wrightson will present the winners’ trophies and reward teams for high-scoring and fair play.
