TWO Kidderminster Harriers players have committed their futures to the club by agreeing deals until the summer of 2014.
Full-backs Mickey Demetriou and Lee Vaughan have both put pen to paper on contracts, extending their stay at the Blue Square Bet Premier promotion-chasers for another two seasons.
Demetriou’s deal is a reward for a string of fine performances this term following his move from Eastbourne last summer.
With 17 league starts under his belt and one goal, the 21-year-old has established himself as a regular fixture and produced some consistent performances.
Fellow defender Vaughan, aged 25, is in his second campaign at Aggborough and has made 65 appearances for the club.
Manager Steve Burr said: “The one thing about both of these boys is that they’re young and hungry – we want to keep on building and improving on what we have here.
“They are happy and I have to thank the chairman and all of the board for what they’ve done in allowing us to keep these lads.
“It’s nice for our supporters to know that we have two lads who are going to be here for another good couple of years.
“I know Lee has enjoyed his time so far and likes the way we work.
“He has matured and developed since he has been here and, in my opinion, is now one of the best right-backs outside of the Football League.”
