HEREFORD United host title-chasing Wrexham tonight (7.45) bidding to stretch their unbeaten run in 2013 to seven matches.

The Bulls, 12th in the Blue Square Bet Premier, maintained their record for the calendar year with a 2-0 triumph at Braintree Town.

However, four of the six fixtures since the beginning of January have been draws, three of which have come at Edgar Street.

It is now more than three months since Martin Foyle’s side won at headquarters — a 1-0 victory over Luton on November 6 — and they will be desperate to halt that sequence tonight.

Foyle was pleased with the character shown by his side at Braintree, when Chris Sharp and Marley Watkins were on target, and would like nothing more than to see it replicated against the Dragons.

“Over the last two or three home games their heads have dropped a little bit trying to produce a bit of quality,” the Hereford manager said.

“But on Saturday they kept their shape, picked balls up and they looked extremely dangerous.”

Wrexham, three points behind leaders Grimsby, stretched their unbeaten run to eight games with a 3-1 win against Stockport County last Saturday.
