TEENAGE duo Felix Gill and Alex Maggs were among the star performers at the SEP Group Herefordshire and Worcestershire County Closed Championships.

The duo took five titles between them at Malvern's Manor Park while Gill was the H&W boys player of the year.

H&W LTA president Ian King presented all the trophies as 411 matches were played across the week.

Gill and Maggs, both from HDA Redditch, each won a singles playing each other in the 16U and 18U finals while together they claimed three doubles titles including the men’s.

The ladies' singles was retained by Kate Horsburgh (Worcester) against Imogen Sinclair (Bromsgrove).

The men’s crown went to Jamie Marks (Manor Park) who beat county captain Charlie Crisp.

Maggs took the 18U, Gill the 16U and the girls' 18U went to Horsburgh against Sinclair again.

But Sinclair enjoyed success at 16U over Latesha Grant (HDA Redditch).  

Paulina Jurkowska (HDA Redditch) picked up both the 14U and 12U girls' singles. 

The 10U girls’ singles went to Caoimhe Guppy (Pershore) who was also the runner-up in the 12U.

The 14U boys' singles saw Stuart Shannon (Bromsgrove) beat Joe Hart (Bromsgrove) and in the 12U James Stanford (Droitwich) defeated Isaac Bridge (Bromsgrove).

The 10U boys' title went to Sam Clements (Manor Park) who beat Caleb Ravenscroft (HDA Redditch). 

The 9U girls' champion was Maya Hart (Bromsgrove) and the 9U boys' winner was Alfie Mills (Pershore). 

Evie Mcdougall (Hereford) was the 8U girls' victor and the 8U boys' title went to Theo Houston (Ombersley).

The H&W boys' player of the year was Gill and the girls' vote went to Guppy. 

The team of the year was the men’s summer County Cup group who gained promotion for the second year running.

Crisp led the team of Alex Parker, Ryan Gaskin, Rob Lowe, Marks, Oliver Nunn, Mike Langston and Callum Treasurer.
