KEMPSEY Lawn Tennis Club held their end-of-season tournament in glorious sunshine.

A record 22 players were involved as partners were drawn for mixed pairs and divided into two groups.

French Open group winners Jo Clark and Andrew Hirst beat Wimbledon stage victors Gill Hames and Tim Davis 4-1.

Trophies were then awarded for the 19th club championships.

Jo and Gary Clark won the mixed doubles trophy after beating Charlotte and Ed Bradford who had held the title since 2012.

The women's singles trophy went to Charlotte Underwood who defeated Charlotte Bradford.

The women's plate was won by Kate Fardon for the second year running after beating Tracey Peters in the final.

Jenny Bennett and Jenny Cale saw off Lyn Rimell and Peters in the women's doubles plate final.

The women's doubles trophy final went to Katie and Jo Clark after they beat last year’s winners Fardon and Underwood.

There is a new name on the men’s singles trophy as Lee Barmby took the title from Bradford.

The men’s doubles trophy and plate finals are to be completed.

Last year’s men’s doubles plate finalists David Scorer and Jon Smith retained their title after a close three-set match against Richard Swinson-Davis and Simon Cuthbertson.

The service to the club award was presented to Doz Lacey.

The two trophies for most improved adult were awarded to Katie Clark and Ray Rennison.
