BEN Toon was the pick of the Malvern Joggers competitors at the Newent Nine on Sunday.
Toon completed the undulating 9.5k course, which attracted some 305 participants, in a time of 38.18 and was followed by Andrew Brown (46:02), Mike Bolton (46:08), Alison Priest (48:36), Julie Caseley (49:18), Steve Ollis (56:09) and Vivien Tolley (57:02).
John Bryan (53:46.5) and Warwick Taylor (55:29.9) competed in round one of the DirtRun Winter Warrior Series held on a very muddy 10k course at Brockhampton.
Nic Dauncey (1:13:16), Rhian Protheroe (1:36:46) were in Wales for the Sospan MT10 mile in Carmarthenshire, while Emma Scott (2:49:19), Mike Anstey (2:57:43), Lynda Broadway (2:57:43) competed in the Broadway Half Marathon.
Alison Merley (46:32) recently competed in the Malvern View 10k, finishing sixth and last weekend saw Meg Judge complete the Tempo Winter Series race two in 46:57.
