WORCESTER won their penultimate home game of the season ahead of Saturday's big Midlands One West derby at Weston's Fields.
The city side beat lowly Melbourne 24-17 to move up to ninth in the table with third-placed Worcestershire rivals Bromsgrove visiting this weekend at 3pm.
Bromsgrove thrashed Wolverhampton 57-19 last weekend while Hereford, who visit Stoke on Saturday, were edged out 24-22 by Rugby Lions.
Leaders Droitwich and second-placed Malvern both picked up bonus-point wins in Midlands Two West (South).
Droitwich beat Nuneaton Old Edwardians 40-10 and Malvern won 33-24 at Earlsdon.
