KAZOKU-Kan judo aces claimed two silver medals at the Special Needs World Games in Beverwijk, Holland.

There were silvers for Felicity Warburton from Blessed Edward Oldcorne College, Worcester, and Liam Jones from Rigby Hall School, Bromsgrove.

The Droitwich club's head coach Rob Alloway was fourth in the nage-no-kata section with Olivia Turner from Kidderminster's Samurai.

But the pair collected bronzes in the katame-no-kata category.

Warburton was the only girl in her section.

Club senior instructor Rich Morrish said: β€œTo Take our members to global competitions and see them overcome their nerves to fight on such a high level is inspiring.

"SN judo is truly inspirational to see in action. Everyone is on a level playing field, no matter the level of additional needs they have, with no sore losing, just lots of fun and respect for each other.

"To come away with two silver SN world medallists is just amazing.”

Kazoku-Kan train every Friday at Physique Fitness on Berry Hill Industrial Estate.
